Tsunami
Out of the blue you hit usWith all your force
You battered me and
Left me broken ,on the shore
You came and you went away
You took away with you
The life we knew ,
And all that you had given me .
Now the waters are calm again
But the salty water
Cuts at my festering wounds
The deepest in my heart
You have left me numb
A zombie left clinging on
To a thread of hope
Broken away from my own
As I look back at you
I have a fear in my heart
I am scared ,
The rage of Mother Nature
Is something I cannot fathom !
